Picture’s of Central Park in New York from above kinda just piss me off. So many people love them and think theyre amazing. All it shows is a tonne of buildings squashed together and a piece of land that companies are just annoyed they cant build over.

cities can be so beautiful, but so, so fucking ugly.

I partly agree with the OP, especially seeing really old photos of cities and then seeing where we are at now, at how much we’ve destroyed. But at least Central Park is still there. The squashed buildings together contrasted with this giant serene park is so wonderful I think. It shows how we still resort to nature regardless of how many artificial factors we are surrounded by.
